Why RubberMaster Extreme Service Inner Tubes Provide Superior Performance with Farm Tires
When you want long-lasting quality, you can depend on for your extreme applications on farm and ranch, you can’t do any better than Extreme Service Inner Tubes from Treadworld—for several reasons. To start with, they’re constructed from top rubber compounds which make them both pliable, and puncture resistant. And they’re designed to be heavier duty than standard tubes for farming tires, to provide the long-lasting performance and extended service life you want. Plus, they’re carefully manufactured to strict specs, then triple-checked for quality, air tightness and heat resistance before they get to you.
Extreme Service Tubes are the inner tubes we’d recommend, without hesitation, to our grandmothers and friends and relatives—if our grandmothers and friends and relatives were about to head out to drive tractor, or combine, or other farm implements. You can stop now and get your RubberMaster Extreme Service Tubes (Radial), or you can keep reading to find out why these tubes are as tough as they come for proven performance and reduced downtime, plus get a few helpful tips.
Extreme Service Tubes Can Be Used in Tubed or Tubeless Agriculture Tires
Before we continue, let’s take a minute to define the difference between tubed tires and tubeless tires. No surprise, tubeless tires are farm implement tires that don’t have tire tubes. You inflate them to the same levels, and they have the same load capacities as tubed tires. Instead of a tube to contain the air and maintain the inflation pressure, they have a rubber liner that handles those duties. They also have a tubeless tire valve that connects to the wheel, whereas inner tubes come with an attached valve stem. (By the way, Treadworld includes a TR412 valve attached to every wheel/rim, which is not standard practice in the industry. And Extreme Service Tubes come with a quality TR218A 2-piece valve with a non-bendable metal stem locked in place with nut.)
You can’t run tube tires tubeless without disastrous consequences, but you do have the option of adding inner tubes to your tubeless tires. You may want to do this for three main reasons: to help prevent rim leaks by preventing the tire bead from popping off the wheel; so you can get more service life out of a tubeless tire that is still in relatively good shape but which has a minor or slow air leak (as long as it doesn’t have a puncture in the sidewall); and when you want to add stability to, and improve the traction of, your farm equipment through liquid ballasting, adding your solution of choice. In that case, you may want to add inner tubes to your tubeless tires to act as a barrier because many of the commonly used ballasting fluids are not wheel/rim-friendly, and can cause rust and corrosion.
Inner Tube Sizes Explained for Extreme Service Inner Tubes
There are three things you need to know about inner tube sizes. One, each inner tube is designed to fit a specific size wheel/rim. No mystery there. Two, while you need a tube that will fit the circumference of your rim, each inner tube size may fit up to four or more tire widths because tubes stretch. And three, to optimize performance, it’s still important that you choose an inner tube with a compatible size because if you install tubes for tractor tires that are too big, the excess rubber may lead to pinching, which in turn leads to blow-out. And if you install tractor tubes that are too small, they will have to be over-inflated to make up for its lack of size, causing them to become too thin, which can also lead to blow-out. Plus, the valve stem may rip out of the tube. No good.
One more thing: Extreme Service Tubes are radial tubes. You can install radial tubes in radial tires or in bias tires, but you don’t want to install bias tubes in radial tires because they’ll cause performance issues related to the flex difference between the construction of radial tires vs. bias tires, and heat build-up.
