Wyoming Range
These mountains feature both rolling open slopes dotted with sagebrush, and aspen groves and forested hills filled with pines, spruce, and fir. Keep an eye open for waterfalls plunging over high cliffs, tucked in the remote rugged mountain peaks. You’ll find more than 330 miles of snowmobile trails here, along with thousands of acres of off-trail riding areas, so there is an abundance of solitude and no worries about crowds. You’ll also find plenty of snow since the average annual snowfall is north of 16 feet. Keep an eye open too for wildlife, as you could encounter elk, moose, deer, antelope, mountain lions, lynx, grizzly and black bear, and more. Elevations are in the 6,000 feet to 10,000 feet above sea level range, and the highest peak in the area is Wyoming Peak, at 11,383 feet.
