Mount Grace State Forest
This 1,458-acre State Forest includes Mount Grace, the third highest elevation in Massachusetts at 1,621 feet above sea level.
For several decades during the mid-20th century, this was a popular downhill ski area and offers a now unused fire tower atop the mountain known to provide jaw-dropping views of ridges, fields, and forests in the surrounding area, also allowing you to eyeball Sunny Valley in neighboring Winchester, NH, Mount Monadnock in Jaffrey, NH and part of the picturesque town of Warwick, MA.
