Pennsylvania State Forests
Allegheny National Forest
Location: In Forest, Warren, Elk, and McKean Counties in northwestern PA

For snowmobile riders, the Allegheny National Forest in Pennsylvania’s Forest County is king. Established in 1923 in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, it is composed of plateau tops with elevations up to approximately 2,300 feet, and valleys down to approximately 1,000 feet above sea level, that make it a snowmobiling paradise. Bald Eagle State Forest

This state forest has around 250 miles of roads and trails open for snowmobiling. Named for the famous Native American Chief, Bald Eagle, the park spans 194,602 acres in the beautiful ridge and valley section of the state, from the limestone-rich Susquehanna Valley in the southeast to the Allegheny Mountains in the northwest.
Forbes State Forest
Location: In the Laurel Highlands, spanning 3,000 square miles of Fayette, Somerset and Westmoreland Counties in southwestern PA

Rothrock State Forest

Chapman State Park

Greenwood Furnace State Park

Moraine State Park
Location: West region, Portersville County, in northwestern PA
