Cheese Country Trail System
Though much of the state was flattened by massive glaciers during the Ice Age, this meandering 47-mile ATV Trail missed most of it and offers 4-wheeler riders breathtaking ridges and valleys views.
The trail follows an abandoned railroad line and takes you over a 440-foot trestle that spans the Pecatonica River. Also known as the Tri-County Trail, Cheese Country connects Lafayette to Iowa and Green Counties, as well as County approved road routes for ATV/UTV’s linking to Grant County and Jo Daviess County.
