Black River State Forest
ATV and UTV riders will find a lot to love about the Black River State Forest ATV trail, surrounded by the Jackson County Forest, which combined offers 187,000 acres of pine and oak forest with rolling terrain, wide trails and towering trees, representing the best of Wisconsin.
Located in the central Wisconsin area near the city of Black River Falls, it’s an area where black bear, timber wolves, and the endangered Karner Blue butterfly can be seen. In addition, Wisconsin’s deepest inland lake, Wazee Lake, the site of a former iron mine where scuba diving is now very popular, is Wisconsin’s deepest inland lake, and one of the clearest lakes in the state.
